GSMC Publications
Sale of most of our publications are on hold until the museum renovation is complete. Once we have access to the museum again, we will list all of our publications.
Thank you for your patience.
Below is a list of our publications. Use the category box to locate the type of publication you are seeking. The census books are listed under the individual township names. Our vital records books are all transcribed from the county courthouse ledgers and have the ledger, page number, and entry number listed. The birth books are handwritten, but all others are typed. All of our publications are indexed. If you would like to order a copy of any of our books, please fill out a copy of the order form found at the bottom of this page and send it with your check or money order to GSMC, PO Box 1428, Monroe, MI 48161. Shipping is $5 for each book, unless otherwise indicated.
Map of The First Land Owners Along the River Raisin
G.S.M.C. member Raymond M. Dushane in April 2012 created this map using the 1936 US Land Office’s Map of Monroe as a template. Land owners (and spelling of names) were added using the American State Papers of the House of Representatives, 9th Congressional Documents that met from March 4, 1805 to March 4, 1807.
Maps are 19” wide x 13” tall, on a high gloss paper and are suitable for framing. $5.00 each
Printing error copies (blue ink lines at top and bottom that don’t affect the content of the map) $2.00 (These copies would be great for making notes.)
Maps may be picked up at our monthly meetings. Please email a request to have maps at the meeting.
