Meetings
Meetings are usually held the first Saturday of the year, except in July and August and we have library lock ins in the summer for our members.
Membership dues are $20/year and give you access to all of our newsletters and many databases on our website.
We also plan research outings and have a wealth of genealogical information in our archives.

Members of our society enjoy access to many other perks (once logged in), including, but not limited to:
- our digitized newsletters- from issue one to the current issue
- the index to the births and marriages from the Monroe Evening News 1926-1950 by year
- the 1860 Monroe city directory - a PDF copy in 4 sections (be sure to read the introduction!)
- index to deed books A-R covering up to 1832 deed records
- our Master Cemetery Index- a complete listing of burials in the county cemeteries- most from the 1980 transcriptions of the cemeteries, but some from sexton records or more recent transcriptions. There are over 101,000 entries! (found under Cemetery Index)
- complete transcriptions of over 40 county cemeteries.
