We will meet in Lansing for a day of research at the Library and Archives of Michigan. Carpool with your fellow genealogists and prepare your research lists! We'll provide more details regarding who is willing to drive as we get closer to the event.
There's much to search in the Library of Michigan, including newspapers and city directories from all over the state and access to their databases in house. The Archives of Michigan has many records, many only available in the archives, including records from Jackson Prison, naturalization records (including those from Monroe County!) and early court records.
Parking is free on the weekends. Hope to see you there!
