GSMC May Meeting

Ted Roll became Grand became the Grand Chief of the Wyandot of Anderdon nation in 2010.  Since that time he has guided, educated, and preserved his culture.  The Wyandot of Andernon nation did not leave their homeland when the US government “removed” the Native Americans to Kansas in 1842. They remained in Michigan and Canada and continued to elect their Chief and Tribal Council. They observe their ceremonies, and have maintained their culture and politics.  Chief Roll has made it his mission to educate young tribal members in their heritage, to maintain the culture and continue to work for his people.  He also works with the River Raisin Battlefield committees and is very knowledgeable about the War of 1812, and the Wyandot part in it.  There is a You Tube video of an address by Chief Roll, which is well worth watching.
