Dan Cherry will share stories about the "Palm Sunday Tornado Outbreak" that hit the area in April of 1965. Several people were killed and many others were injured, a bus was picked up and slammed down on a freeway. The tornadoes wreaked havoc in several counties in Michigan, northern Indiana and Ohio. This event included two tornadoes, with the second following the first by about a hour. In Branch County, 19 were killed and 200 injuries. Six members of one family were killed in Lenawee County, and a church with 50 people inside was also destroyed.
Join us at noon at the college for a question and answer session before our regular meeting. We will try our best to answer genealogy related questions. Bring your lunch if you wish. Should be a great way to find out what others are researching too.
