Xavier Memije is an amateur historian and WW2 reenactor. His fascination with the military and his family’s service history at a young age sent him down the military history rabbit hole. He started seriously collecting and researching 3 years ago and has come along way since then. Xavier portrays the US GI from 1944-1945 and hopes to expand his portrayal to different countries and years. He attends multiple reenactments a year and almost never turns down a opportunity to share his passion and love of history.
He will discuss the United States Army GI in Germany during the last months of the war and the challenges he faced along with the equipment, weapons, and uniforms.
