"Traveling the Avenue de Booze: Amusing Prohibition-Era Stories from Every Corner of Monroe County." The program will highlight the most interesting, humorous, and shocking tales from dozens of Monroe County communities during our dry days. Most of these are new stories that he's come across in his recent research and will be almost completely different than the presentation Joe gave last summer at the museum.
Mr. Boggs graduated from SMCC in 2006, from University of Toledo's BA History program in 2010 and again in 2012 from its MA Education program. He is currently working on his Masters in History at BGSU and in the process of completing of his thesis "Prohibition's Proving Ground: Automobile Culture and Dry Enforcement on the Toledo-Windsor-Detroit Corridor, 1913-1933."
