- Monroe County Historical Museum, is located at 126 S. Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48161. Within the Museum Archives on the second floor is a gold mine of Monroe County history, not only of the villages, townships, and county, but also for the families of Monroe County. Listed in the pages to the left are a few of the books that were published about our families and our community. The Museum Archives have saved these precious copies just waiting for your review and to help you understand the lives of your Monroe County relatives.
- But the best kept secret of the Museum Archive is their Obituary Collection. File cabinet after file cabinet line the walls of the Archive with over 100,000 Monroe County residents obituaries.
